For a good cause...........

My local Kaiser Outlet store is running a workshop on Saturday the 5th of February........you can create anything you want - Layout, Off the page item, basically anything you can put photos in or on. All the projects created on that day will be donated to people who lost everything in the Floods. I can't do the workshop on that day so I have made a layout ahead of time and I'll be dropping it into the store next week.

Usually when I do a layout I know what photos I'm going to use.........so to do it this way was a bit of a challenge for me.  As you can see it fits 4 photos. I 've left the overlap of paper free of tape so a photo can be slotted in quite easy.

I embossed the chip board letters...............When I heated the powder up it melted but did not go smooth how it normally would ( I don't know why) it stayed a rough texture which I thought kinda looked like snow? I liked the way it turned out.

Here's the cartridges I've used -

Martha Stewart elegant cake - large doily and leaf border
Joys to the Season - Branch of leaves
George - large circle and rectangles for photos
Paper - Kaiser winter wonderland

"Mountain of Cupcakes"...........

My description of these photos would be.............."A Mountain of Cupcakes in the middle of a mud slide" LOL!
Not my best cake creation but as you can tell from my last post they tasted pretty good!

This layout is based on a sketch challenge at "Sassy Lil' Sketches" - january 7th reveal.
I have so many photos so I decided to use quite a few on this page. In my album this page will sit on the opposite page to the last layout I showed you.

I'm loving the Banner feature on Martha Stewart - All Occasion cake cartridge.......this one has a tiny scallop edge. The white lace border is a Martha Stewart punch. The paper is Kaiser "Sugar Sugar " collection.

Enjoy your weekend

So Sweet

Another page for Jordyn's album...........these photo's were taken on her 17th birthday.  If she knew these were posted on my blog she would probably say "OMG you didn't put them on"..........She doesn't normally look here so I should be fine LOL.  As you can see she really enjoys her cupcakes, so with the challenge this week at "Fantabulous Cricut" being ......put something sweet on your creation,  I thought these pics would be perfect!

The little Cupcakes and So Sweet were cut from "Once Upon a Princess"
The paper is Kaiser "sugar sugar" collection

Bye 4 now...............

Wanna Rock

Guess what?.................I also have two boys! You would never know it because all you mainly see is pictures of the girls......specially Jordyn.
Well there is a reason for that......I am making albums for each of my children , which I plan on presenting to them when they turn 21. Thats this year for Jordyn in September. OMG I've got years of photos to still scrap, I really don't think I'll get it done but I'm going to give it a go!

With that said, I have a layout to show you that I completed today........no lace, no doily's etc, etc. Only really cool colors and a little stitching.

What I've used -
Wanna Rock - Base camp
Banner - MS, all occasions
Star - George
Kaiser paper - work bench collection

I know you have already seen this page but this one is slightly different so I thought I'd post it - One for Jordyn's album and one for Tori's.
I only had one piece of each paper for the back ground and I ran out of chip board letter.....but I kinda like them different sizes.

See You again Soon

Sisters

This photo was taken  yesterday of my two girls. They had bought the same top and happen to be wearing it on the same day..........I thought it was a perfect photo opportunity, this will make it easy for me to co-ordinate my paper with the picture!  And how well does the doily match their tops! LOL
The paper I have used is Kaiser "Flutterby" .

I'm entering this page in a challenge at "Show us your stuff" blog. This week we have to follow a recipe..... Stitching - around the heart, Buttons, 4 different pattern papers, Misting - on the large flower and something handmade - large flower.

Passionately Artistic is  having a "linky party" head over there to check out all the fabulous creations.

My cricut  was also used to cut a few things..........
Heart - Love struck
Frame behind photo - Sweet Hearts
Scallop border - Martha Stewart all occasions
George - large flower

Have a great week .......see you again soon

White with 1...........

Today I decided to do something different........Step outside my comfort zone! I often visit the "White with 1" challenge blog to view the beautiful works of art but have never taken part in a challenge. Two days ago I met Cathy from "Cathy can't help herself" in our local Kaiser outlet store she is on the DT........she encouraged me to have a go................
So this is me having a go! What a great month to do it..........I'm working with my favourite color.

White + royal or navy blue + a banner is the challenge.

How lucky was I to have this Navy lace in my stash....and Warren is wearing a blue shirt! LOL

Here's a close up of the banner which is raised with foam dots and my favourite little heart buttons.

Here is what I've used ...........
Cricut Cartridges
Banner - Martha Stewart everyday cake,
Font on banner - Rock Princess
Scallop lace border - Martha Stewart elegant cake
Story book - blue back ground

Heart stamp - Love defined - stampin up

Hop over to "White with 1" and have a look at all the great Layouts

Happy New Year...........

Hello, Happy New Year!

It feels like forever since I've been here.........I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. My husband has been on holidays for a week, we've been enjoying lots of family time and doing the odd improvement around the house. One thing that I'm so excited about is today Paul put a new shower head in our shower and its "BIG"......Hey, I know this is only a small thing, but I was so over this tiny water saving one we had! (The new one still saves water, but it covers me!)

A week before Christmas I enjoyed a wonderful day of craft at a friends place. Walking into Lola's house at Christmas you really feel like you are in "fairy land" so many lights every where...its so pretty.

Here are some pictures of what we made.... Starting with large match boxes  we joined them together to form a cube, covered them in our favoutite papers then embelished them with pretty things.

Here's Lola's creation.......She loves earthy colors!

The flowers were cut from George and the paper is Kaiser.

And here's mine...........which I finished today!

On the top you could add lots of embelishments.......I just added a few.....the rose paper was just to  beautiful to cover up. The paper is "Rose Garden" by Papermania. Its a large 12 x 12 pad that has all the die cuts and letters as well.

I cut the Butterfly from "Martha Stewart"  elegant cake art.

I can't wait to put some little treasure's in my pretty box.

Now, has anyone got some ideas for all these matches???????

Looking forward to a great 2011.......Happy New Year

Tracey xo
