Christmas Tag # 2

The 25th will be here before we know it!

Here is my next Tag.

In case you missed yesterdays post.............I used Sentimentals Cartridge to cut all the tags and this frame is from Elegant Edges.

I had to show you a close up so you can see all the glitter.

The tags were made to suit the colours that my friends like for Christmas.

Yesterdays and Todays tag  colours are very traditional .

Christmas Tags.....# 1

Hi everyone..........Over the next few days I thought I would show you some Giant tags I have been creating    

to give to a few special friends for Christmas.

The tag is cut from a cereal box using 'Sentimentals Cartridge' .......it is 11 inches high. Cut some pretty pattern paper the same size, add lots of little embellishments to finish of your tag.

The pretty frame is a Cheery Lyn die , I have covered it in lots of white glitter. 

Mandy at "Scrappy-Go-Lucky" has a huge variety of these dies in her store......Head over there and check out all the new Christmas ones!

Birthday Sundaes # 37

Hello everyone........I'm back to show you my last card as a Design Team member for Birthday Sundaes. 

I have decided to resign. It has been so much fun, but my life is so busy at the moment . 

I want to Thank you  Kristie and all of the DT.........it has been a pleasure working with you!

I love creating cards with vintage images..........just adding some pretty lace, buttons etc.

I made this card for a special Blog friend who will be celebrating her Birthday soon........I hope she likes it:)

I'm now counting down the days until we leave for America and Canada, we are all so excited.........hoping for a white Christmas, keep your fingers Crossed:)

Birthday Sundaes # 36

Old/Or neglected stash -  is our challenge this week!

The Birthday Sundaes DT were given a choice of three images to colour from

 "Karen' s Doodles"

Here is my pretty 'Fairy Princess'. I chose to use the png. file and create my card using 'Creative Memories' Story Book digital programme. The paper, flowers and sprinkling of stars are all digital "FAIRY WISHES" sentiment is a stamp.......part of my neglected stash!  I have used copics to colour the princess. I did try  colouring her  digitally .............that is something I need to practise a lot more.

Birthday Sundaes # 35

Happy Sunday everyone.......hope you are enjoying your day:)
This is a scheduled post so I hoped it has worked. I'm on the other side of the country right now , in Western Australia ,catching up with Mandy at Scrappy-Go-Lucky............the place where I buy all those gorgeous Cheery Lyn Doily dies.

The challenge this week at 'Birthday Sundaes' is to put a TREE on your card.
And guess what.......I have used another Doily. This one is called French Pastry.

I have layered two doilies. The tree trunk is from April showers.

"Jars of Cuteness"

That is the new challenge at "LESSology"

Here is my jar...........

My up cycled item is an old doily. I used spray adhesive to stick it to the jar.

I really wanted to use an old preserving jar to make this............funny story - we do have one, but you could say its my husbands. His mum sends him home made strawberry jam in it all the way from Canada ......... since we are spending Christmas with them that jar is getting packed in a suit case!

 Any way,

 I decided to cut a hole in the lid to give a similar effect........ I had to hit it a few times with a hammer to flatten out the sharp edges, I like how it turned out:) It has a well used look .

Cricut Flower shoppe was used to cut the outer petals of the flower. The centre is a kaiser bloom. Some pretty crinkle ribbon and twine to finish off.

A collection of these jars grouped together would look so pretty!

Tomorrow morning I fly to Western Australia for a few days.....I'm so excited, I have never been to that side of the country before. I will be back to visit your blogs next week.

As a lot of us know Rhonda makes the most awesome mini albums to give away.........I know I wished for one, so that's where the fairy idea started.

She also  has a great sense of humour .......so with that in mind I made this card for her. 

The fairy is a Loralie Art Stamp......I bought it ages ago and never used it, I thought this was the perfect opportunity. Ha, just realised with this close up you can see my lipstick has run.....still getting the hang of these copics. 

The frame is from 'Elegant Edges', FABULOUS ' - Forever Young, Banner - 'Art Philosophy', Flower - 'Mothers Day Bouquet'. I've covered the lips in glossy accents to make them look fuller. 

I hope you like your card Rhonda, I had fun making it!..........you should receive it before your Birthday.

Amy loves Giraffes...........here is the card I made for her.

I thought about putting a giraffe on the card but it just wasn't working for me. Then I had  this idea.......Why not make her a Pretty Party Dress with a  Giraffe print. I down loaded the printed paper as a package of animal prints from 'Great Graphics Designs'.
 I have a few cartridges with dress forms on them but not the shape I wanted, so I made my own . The dress is from 'Forever Young and the base is from Serenade , I welded these shapes together using my Gypsy. I cut the base in black, then cut two dress shapes for extra dimension. The pink frill at the bottom is made from crepe paper. Next time I think I'll make the dress a bit shorter so you can see more of the stand.....I forgot to allow for the frill.
