what I was messing around with over the weekend :)
"Do what makes You Happy"
A Shabby looking canvas (12 in) to hang in my craft room.

  Some close ups

And
Here is what it looked like before I covered it in Gesso.
This is a great way to make use of all those random bits and pieces in your stash!

I used a variety of different stencils to create the background texture.
Hope you enjoy the photos

Egg-cited!!

I am so 'Egg-cited' to share an Easter project I've been messing around with this morning. It started by a visit to the supermarket to buy some eggs.......I wanted white ones. Well do you think I could find any. NO! So I opened up a few packs and did a swap around and picked the lightest colours to make up my dozen. I first blew the insides out.......then sprayed them with Pink colour shine, some glue, then rubbed gold glitter all over.
They look so pretty!

Check out this adorable plate stand I found at the shops last week :)
So so cute......I just had to have it!

There is house work to be done...time to stop playing,
So nice of you to visit, enjoy your weekend!

Happy Birthday

Helloooo.........Another card today using "All That Glitters" kaiser papers.

I've used a pocket card from the same collection, it has really shiny gold spots......which look brown in the photo. The balloons were stamped then embossed with gold.......which look brown too, ahhh :(  It really is all gold and glittery! Hope you get the idea ? I coloured the seam binding ribbon to match the papers.
This is the sketch I followed from MFT card challenge.

Can you believe its Thursday already...... I'm still painting furniture! Thought I'd show you a shabby little dresser
I completed a few weeks ago. I am so happy with how it looks :) Oh...the suit cases got a coat of paint too :)

Cherish Each Day

Hey everyone,
The new Die cut challenge at Stuck on U Sketches is
" Lucky Green"
I think my Shabby little card could be used for any occasion even though I went with a St Patrick's day theme .
I have used Cricut 'Artfully sent' cartridge to cut the pocket card with a shamrock cut out.  I sprayed it with colour shine along with the flower, which are layered Shamrocks .....my favorite doilies and bling. Oh and another page from my dictionary :)

I'm linking my card up with 'Craftin Desert Diva's' .....use lots of Green.

There is not a lot of creating with paper happening here at the moment! I've been busy painting , painting , painting! Shabbying up furniture and old suitcases. The weekend was spent out in the garden Puppy proofing........a lost cause I think!!
Happy Monday to You......enjoy your week
Thanks for visiting

Pop of Pink

Happy Monday to You!
Pop of Pink is the new challenge theme at The Shabby Tea Room
along with this pretty photo for inspiration.

I have used a pretty flower overlay from the "Artfully Sent" cartridge.

The overlay originally cut  inside a frame......I didn't like it, so I cut it off. I brushed it with some gesso, then smooch ink to add a little sparkle. More pages from my dictionary for the butterfly..its also brushed with gesso. I inked the seam binding ribbon to match.
So there you have my card with a POP of PINK
Have fun with the challenge.......

are sponsoring us, you could win a $10 voucher to the store!!

Be sure to visit The Shabby Tea Room to see what the other girls have created.

Enjoy the new week
