A few things :)

Hello .......Its been a few weeks since I have posted anything here! I've kinda got side tracked  painting furniture. My house consists of a mish mash of furniture....most of which I've found at OP shops. I paint each piece the same colour...shabby it up a little, then it all seems to work together. I've even started spray painting china and glass ware white. Anything I don't like the colour of, gets painted! All the items below were a dark wood.

I did put down the paint brush briefly to make a couple of cards!
Auzz Trinklets N Craft have lots of pretty "Shaker Mix"

First up I used my fuze tool to make a pocket......I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but it did not work that well. So.... out came  my sewing machine. I think the stitching looks a little more shabby any way with the odd thread hanging.  I stamped the bird branch image on the pretty pink pattern paper then inserted it and lots of shaker mix to the pocket before stitching it closed.

I made this card for a 21st birthday. I stuck a few 21's to the background paper before adding a few extra to the pocket, along with lots of shaker mix. I think I was shaking the card too much and they have come unstuck......too late to fix, I'd already sewed the pocket shut!

Thanks for taking the time to take a peek at what I've been up to,

Hello Everyone.....I've been so busy painting furniture, my blog is being neglected at the moment. But today, I  have two card to share with you ....the first one is for "Auzz Trinklets N Kraft"
I just love the theme for April "Shabby"
Here is a close up of the first card using lots of Pretty flowers, stamen clusters and sequins. I used a script stamp to add detail to the background paper along with some tiny white paint dots.

Die cut leaves, berry branch and doily. The butterfly is stamped then fussy cut out. I also added Nuvo crystal drops to the tip of the berry branch...I think you can just see it in the photo.

Be sure to visit Auzz Trinklets N Craft

Next up is "Sketchy Boards" April inspiration Board

Hello Everyone,
I'm back Home after enjoying a fabulous Holiday in Canada and Hawaii catching up with family. I took hundreds  and hundreds of photos....I can't wait to get organised and start scrapping them!
I was fighting fit the whole holiday...I get off the plane one day and wake up with a cold the next, I hope to be feeling better soon. So since I don't feel like doing much, its the perfect time to catch up on what you have been creating! Also a Big Thank you to you, for leaving comments  on my few scheduled posts ๐Ÿ˜Š

Next up are a couple projects I created before I went away, but ran out of time to post them here.

First up is "SKetchy Boards" Challenge for March

Image may contain: sky and outdoorImage may contain: text

I went with a pastel version of the colour inspiration and stuck quite close to the sketch.

I look forward to seeing how you are inspired.

All Shades of GREEN is our inspiration for March at
"Auzz Trinklets n Craft"

I added ink to an embossing folder, lightly spraying it with water. Then using water colour paper I pressed it down firmly on the embossing folder to create the design. I used the same technique on my last card......its  a great way to use the pretty designs instead of dry embossing!  The butterflies were die cut from the doily design.

The stamp set I have used is  Papertrey Ink "Button Boutique". It is an older collection! Did you know Neha can order lots of products on request......if you don't see it in the store just ask....there is a good chance she can get it in for you๐Ÿ˜Š
The large heart is Die cut from corrugated card, a few wooden buttons to embellish along with "Nuvo Crystal Drops" for the center of the lace flowers and a sprinkle of sequins.

Enjoy you week...Happy Creating x

Tuesday, February 7, 2017

Hello......I'm back today to share a layout I created using a few products for "Auzz Trinklets N Craft"

February is the month of Romance ๐Ÿ’•
The inspiration for my page came from an image in a book I was reading, with this quote . I decided to re-create it and add a photo. Super simple page but I love how it turned out๐Ÿ˜Š

For the title I first tried stamping it, but it was not bold enough ( I managed to rub it can probably see it a bit...(its now called a shadow) I then decided to die cut it, which I like a lot better. I used my cricut and Base Camp cartridge.
The Boat is also Die cut from Lifes a Beach.
I stamped the white background with 'Rubbernecker' Daisy Duo.
I embossed hearts on the sails of the boat, then embellished it with lot of bits and pieces from my stash. A favorite being the tiny heart buttons. XOX was also stamped.

Thanks so much for Looking
I have a few scheduled posts this month...I will not be able to visit you! When you read this I will be in Canada freezing my bum off๐Ÿ˜ŽSo excited to be surprising my father in law for his 90th Birthday.
When I get back I'll play catch up!

Happy Creating!

Hello Friend

Hey.......How could I not make time to play along with this months "Kraft Plus Challenge"......these are my favorite colours , and its a fabulous sketch!

You may have noticed that on most of my projects I add these gorgeous tiny doilies. My friend Anna makes them......its her birthday next week, so I made her this card featuring her crochet doilies . I love how she leaves the long threads hanging! I twisted them from one doily to the other to represent the banner on the sketch๐Ÿ˜Š

Happy Weekend Everyone,

I have a busy day ahead ......things to do, place to be.

As I was looking for photos to use with the sketch I came across the index prints of our day in Santa Cruz....then I had this idea! The background paper from Kaiser was  perfect ! I just added some splashes of paint, a sprinkle of sequins, some stitched clouds and a flare button. I die cut the title with my cricut and Base camp cartridge.
I'm creating a pocket page album for the trip......with a few 12 x 12 title pages.

I'm planning on finishing the album this year.....I just take so many photos! Its taking me forever!!!!!

Lets start with a close up of all the layers.

I die cut the flowers using Mothers Day Bouquet cricut cartridge
'Altenew Brush Art Floral"  was used to stamp the design onto the gift bag I made from  printer paper!

Go HERE for instructions on how DIY gift bag.

Its another HOT day .......and tomorrow is going to be worse " Its a HEAT WAVE!
With no AC , just a fan to keep me cool in front of the Computer....I have not been spending much time here. The pool is the best place!  Sorry for not visiting, I'll play catch up soon!

Happy 2017

Hello, Happy 2017!
After Christmas its taken me a little time to get back into the swing of creating.....I've actually been enjoying doing not much! The weather has been really warm, so the pool is the best place to be! New Years resolution is to get my many photos scrapped, so that means more photos on a page! Its been a long time since I created a double page layout....I had fun with it!

This page is for "Auzz Trinklets N Kraft"
The theme for January is 'Make it Girly'. The first think I thought of was flowers and Pink.
All the embellishment are die cut using 'Lifes a Beach' cricut cartridge.

I covered the title in micro beads...they reminded me of the neon lights. Time to use up old supplies in my stash...beads for Las Vegas.
The design on the large circle is rubons coloured in with water colour pencils.

The tail feathers were die cut with a spell binders die....perfect place for a sprinkle of sequins.....I had to fit them on this page somewhere!

Have a great nice of you to stop by!

Happy creating

Christmas Creating

Hello..........Six days till Christmas! Are You Organised? For once I think I am, which is a good feeling :)

Today I have a few more Christmas creations to share with you.
Last week I showed you this ornament, made from a jar lid.

Here are two more

 Love the snowy scenes!
And Below are DIY Gift bags created using stamps from "Auzz Trinklets n Kraft"
"Gabi's stitched circle and square stamp set"
The bags were made from everyday printing paper. I determined the size of the bag, then joined the seam together with washi tape. I used a variety of stamps to created the gingham, circle and word collage tags. The red tags with hearts were die cut. I made the bow using We R memory keepers envelope punch.

I had lots of packaging and bags after doing my christmas shopping last week....before  throwing anything out, I think about what I can
re-purpose. These handles were cut from another bag

I hope this gives you a few ideas.......don't buy gift bags, have fun with your stamps and DIY
I'm linking these  up with "Paper Sweeties" challenge.

A few of You might know that my son will not be with us for Christmas this year.....he is working in the Canadian snow fields, enjoying a 'WHITE Christmas'!
